What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the most common modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a practice involving insertion of small stainless-steel needles to stimulate specific areas of the body to restore balance and healing.

If the flow of qi (chi) or energy becomes unbalanced. The needles are inserted along the meridians to allow free flow of blood and qi (chi) to balance the body’s qi and overall health.

Acupuncture also aids in blood circulation by creating micro-therapeutic injuries with the needle insertion, creating blood flow to the injured area. In addition, certain points are also used to reduce inflammation.
